Talking about Borneo, first thing that everybody will thinking about is "Full with Trees", second is "Lot of Bugs", third is "OMG,Head Hunter!". Well, I have to say first and second are right but the third thing I have to say "sorry buddy, you are too late for head hunter era".
I like the scene inside the tropical forest, it is cooling too. Sometime when I and the lab assistant finish doing survey and it still early, we will lie down and take a nap, ha ha ha... Its fun somehow, just watch out the ants, you don't want end up become an 'antman'! See some weird bugs crawling around, birds flying around, every step is full with surprise. Even when you saw some snakes crawling or resting on vegetation, just stay cool and give them a way. Inside jungle, those bugs are the 'king'.
I never get enough with the forest. The first time I went to my field work at national park, I have to report to the office. When I told them my intention, the first thing that girl told me is "Be careful, because last week there was a crocodile escaped into the river". For a moment my mind went blur, the next moment I just "WHAT!!! Are you kidding me??" Thanks God, I still alive.
The second week, I went back to the same national park to continue my survey. The girl tole me "Be careful, cause few days ago, two sun bears escaped from their cage". WHAT THE XXXXXX!!!!! Why those animal likes to escaped from their cage when I conduct my survey at there? Is it some kind of joke on me? Once again, thanks God, I still alive. When I writing this post, the crocodile and those sun bears still wondering around inside the national park.
This is ginger flower, if I am not mistaken. This picture is wrong but end up with right. I like the effect, like a hope in the dark, very dramatic yet peaceful (what a weird combination).
I always very excited to go into jungle. Run away from the pressure and get my mind blank. Just don't go when there is raining season, you will 'amaze' by the leech troop, they are everywhere and once they get on your body, you have to pull them away. Sometime its painful when they bite you so you know there is leech on your body. At times, when you finish your jungle walk, you will find out your arm or leg is bleeding, non-stop. "Friend, you just bite by leech, no need get panic and its not what mystery case."
